New AEG Project Announced!

I feel like I’m going through a bizzare eurotrash phase. Maybe just tired of the “I’m delta force because I wear a plate carrier and love multicam” and the kids that mimic everything they see on Modern Warfare 2. Like carrying glow sticks but having no idea what they’re used for on the objective. WIth that said, I’ve always been fond of the Special Air Service’s ability to really just take advantage of discretion and really just fade into the background.

Sooo with this rifle, I’ve decided to build off of a rifle that was selected to be the “right arm of the free world” aka, the FN FAL. Man, what a sweet platform right? Now, granted, it might not be as versitile as an M4, but Its not like I need it to look super fancy for it to be unique and still get the job done.

So the rifle I went with was the Classic Army SA58 Carbine. Out of the box, nicest AEG that I have. The upper and lower receiver are built sturdy and have DSArms trademarks all over it. Oh yes, that is the same DSArms that based out of Barrington, IL. I figure what better way to represent the dirty six thirty than running a DSArms SA58 (even though they’re 847…no worries…)

Even with a 10.5 inch barrel, out of the box, its the most accurate rifle I own. Pie tins at 130 feet have nothing on me. I’m actually curious to see what happens when I switch up the inner barrel. I’m not as worried as I am curious.

Enjoy the photos, the rifle will more than likely pick up the role of DMR. Although I really wish there were mid caps out there for this one, I’m going to have to find a way around that even if I’m forced to build my own somehow….? I like to think I’m pretty clever.
